Atlantic Technology Centre

atc-btn2The ATC in Charlottetown is the result of a government and private industry plan to enhance the region’s IT industry. Officially opened in 2001, the ATC is home to some of the most successful and promising IT and new media companies. The five-story, 130,000 square foot technologically-advanced facility is an ideal setting for growing IT and media companies to expand, foster new partnerships, and thrive in an atmosphere that promotes and sustains business success. In addition to prime corporate office space, the ATC offers services such as multimedia training labs, digital audio and picture editing suites, conference suite with webcasting, presentation rooms, private tenant lounge and an internet café.

bio-tech-logoEstablished in 1987 as the PEI Food Technology Centre, BIO|FOOD|TECH is a confidential, contract research, processing and analytical services company located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. We provide many specialized services to companies and entrepreneurs in both the food and bioprocessing sectors. Our professional team is made up of food and bioprocessing scientists, microbiologists, technologists and support staff. BIO|FOOD|TECH has strategically developed its infrastructure and has attained recognition as a quality technology provider to local, regional, national and international clients in the food processing industry and for bioresource upgrading. The 20,000 square foot facility is located within a scientific community that includes the University of Prince Edward Island, NRC Institute of Nutrisciences and Health, Canadian Food Inspection Agency Laboratory (Centre for Animal and Plant Health), and Agriculture and AgriFood Canada Crops and Livestock Research Station.  BIO|FOOD|TECH is certified by Pro-Cert Organic Systems for development of organic products and is a founding member of the FOODTECH Canada network. FOODTECH Canada is a network of Canada’s leading food technology centres, offering the food and bio-product industry access to state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and expertise to commercialize innovative products and technologies.  BIO|FOOD|TECH has a Memorandum of Understanding with Holland College/Canada’s Smartest Kitchen to work in collaboration on food product and process development activities for the benefit of the Prince Edward Island economy.
